A Problem Solved

As a full-time dad, husband, and businessman, I know the demands of work and life. It can be hard to balance work and family, leaving even less time for yourself and exercise. With only so much time in the day, it forced me to run at night, after the sun would go down or early in the morning, before it would come up.

 

It didn't take long to become aware of how unsafe running in the dark can be. Being concerned for my own safety, I began to explore what was being made on the market, only to find cheap products that didn't do much for my well-being. I was not looking for an accessory, I was looking for an actual garment that would make me visible to anyone around me. 

 

Through my textile company, Finnie CO., I saw an opportunity to take garment making into my own hands. Investigating LED textile technology, I came up with the idea to incorporate lights into apparel, specifically running apparel, making nighttime running safe and practical.

 

Textiles In Canada

Working with my industrial sewing company, I have the upper hand being both a consumer and producer. Backed by 40 years of sewing experience, having experience in a company like Finnie CO., not only gives me the confidence I need to know my garments are going to be made properly, but the knowledge necessary to understand how the textile industry in Canada works.

 

As a front line producer for many innovators, Canada is at the top of the textile manufacturing evolution. Because companies like Finnie Co. understand and work closely with scientific innovation, I have the necessary means to combine clothing with LED technology.

 

I hope to saturate the market in all countries that have four seasons, where there's less daylight-certain times of the year, making running a practical form of enjoyment and exercise no matter what time of day it is.
